Choosing the Right Countertop
There are many different choices when it comes to choosing the right countertop; however, the first thing you should consider is your budget. The amount you want to spend on countertops will greatly impact the type of material you choose. Upgrading your countertops can make the biggest difference in your space. There are so many different textures, colors and patterns to choose from for your home. If you want your countertop to be the star of your design, you should choose a unique pattern.
Granite comes in unique patterns and colors and will always complete the look of your space. Whether you want two or three colors, or more, granite may be your choice of material. Granite is very versatile and durable. With a smooth surface, it gives you an easy cleanup as well as a beautiful finished look!
Cambria Quartz Countertops
Whether you are looking for a solid color, or a multi-color countertop, Cambria Quartz has it all. Cambria countertops add beauty to any room, with hundreds of styles to choose from you are guaranteed to find the right countertop for your home. Cambria Quartz can be used in many different styled spaces; modern, traditional, transitional and more!
What is the difference between Cambria Quarts and Granite?
There are some similarities as well as some differences between the two surfaces. While they are both very durable, Cambria Quartz is slightly stronger than granite as it is 93% quartz and granite is 40-60% quartz. Both materials are comparable in pricing and provide excellent heat and scratch resistance.
A touch of wood will always warm up a space. What better way to incorporate wood in your design than with wood countertops? You can mix it up using wood for the kitchen island and another material for the perimeter countertops!
View all of our choices on our countertops page. You can also give us a call (641) 472-8385 or visit our showroom for any questions!

Leadership Fairfield 2019-2020 Class - Held by the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce
The program includes eight monthly sessions each centered around a unique theme. Every session is different but includes expert presenters, panels of community leaders and behind-the-scene tours of Fairfield businesses. By the end of the program, each participant will not only have a well-rounded view of the various business sectors in Fairfield but also have personally connected and networked with Fairfield's top business and community leaders.
For the month of October (session held on Tuesday, October 2nd), the Leadership Fairfield class focused on the manufacturing leaders in our community. They toured Agri-Industrial Plastics, Dexter Laundry, The Sky Factory and Paint-Line. All four of these manufacturing businesses are located in Fairfield, Iowa.
On Saturday, October 12th, Leadership Fairfield participants had the opportunity to volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity build site here in Fairfield. Leadership Fairfield participants are required to fulfill a minimum of 6 hours of volunteer work during the class, which comes to a close in April of 2020.
The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize and showcase Fairfield’s appreciation for the manufacturing sector of our economy. The 2019 Manufacturer’s Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at 11:30am at the Fairfield Golf and Country Club.
Fairfield manufacturers have historically been outstanding corporate citizens and responsible stewards of our industrial tradition. Each year the Manufacturers Appreciation Luncheon offers members of the Fairfield Manufacturer’s Association a podium before the crowd to share information about trends, new developments, and other news regarding their company and products.
This event is a highly anticipated networking, social gathering, and business lunch. Additionally, we appreciate the long-time partnership with Gamrath-Doyle Insurance who sponsors the lunch for each manufacturing representative.
Registration is required by Friday, October 4th by contacting the Chamber at Events@FairfieldIowa.com, or by calling 641-472-2111. For all manufacturing representatives, lunch is sponsored by Gamrath-Doyle Insurance. The fee for Non-manufacturers which plan to attend the lunch is $22 per person.
