Jefferson County Farm Bureau Announces April Coloring Contest for Young Gardeners

posted on 4/1/26

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is inviting young artists across Jefferson County to participate in its second annual coloring contest, running April 1–30. Open to students in Pre-K through 4th grade, this year’s theme celebrates gardening in honor of National Gardening Month and National Gardening Day on April 14.

Participants can pick up coloring pages at the Jefferson County Farm Bureau office, download them from the organization’s Facebook page, or request a copy by emailing Jefferson.county@ifbf.org. Completed entries may be dropped off at the office or submitted via email by the April 30 deadline.

Entries will be grouped by grade-level categories: Pre-K–Kindergarten, 1st–2nd grade, and 3rd–4th grade. First- and second-place winners in each category will receive prizes.

The contest offers a fun and creative way for local children to celebrate gardening, learn about agriculture, and showcase their artistic talents throughout the month of April.
