The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to once again host our annual Manufacturers Appreciation Luncheon, a signature event celebrating the driving force of Fairfield’s economy — our manufacturers. These businesses continue to set the bar for innovation, community stewardship, and excellence in production, keeping Fairfield’s industrial tradition strong.

This year’s luncheon brought together members of the Fairfield Manufacturers Association, Chamber members, community leaders, and local officials for an afternoon of recognition, networking, and inspiration.

A Day of Recognition and Connection

Chamber Executive Director Mendy McAdams opened the event with a warm welcome, expressing heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors and attendees. She highlighted the importance of manufacturing in sustaining local jobs and advancing Fairfield’s economic growth.

Lori Weaton, President & CEO of Agri-Industrial Plastics Company, shared an insightful recap video from ABI’s Elevate Tour, spotlighting innovation and collaboration in Iowa’s manufacturing sector.

Mayor Connie Boyer then took the stage to officially proclaim October as Manufacturing Month, recognizing the incredible contributions of Fairfield’s manufacturers to both the local and state economy.

Governor’s Inspiring Visit

A highlight of this year’s event was a special address by the Governor of Iowa, introduced by Nate Weaton, Owner of Weaton Companies. Nate’s heartfelt introduction set the tone for an engaging, interactive discussion led by the Governor.

The Governor spent time listening to manufacturers in the audience — offering the microphone to hear updates, challenges, and perspectives from those on the front lines of Iowa’s industrial community. She also connected attendees with valuable state resources and members of her team, making this year’s luncheon especially impactful.

Community, Cuisine, and Collaboration

Attendees enjoyed a delicious catered lunch by the Fairfield Golf & Country Club, featuring fresh green salad, meat or vegetarian lasagna, and warm breadsticks. The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center staff provided outstanding hospitality, ensuring every detail ran smoothly from start to finish.

A special thank-you goes out to our Chamber Ambassadors and Board Members who greeted guests, assisted with seating, and helped with setup and teardown — your teamwork and energy helped make the day seamless and welcoming for all.

Throughout the event, attendees mingled, shared insights, and built stronger connections. It was a vivid reminder of how collaboration and appreciation fuel progress in our community.
