Nick Demke will advise and train entrepreneurs and existing business owners in Cherokee, Crawford, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, and Woodbury counties. Nick started on July 16th and is excited to continue supporting western Iowa businesses.

"We are excited to welcome Nick to the SBDC team and look forward to leaning on his personal and professional experiences to serve the small business community in the Western Iowa Tech Community College territory," says Austin Strawhacker, America's SBDC Iowa State Director.

Nick Demke was born and raised in Emerson, Nebraska, and brings a strong background in nonprofit leadership and education to his role as SBDC Regional Director at Western Iowa Tech Community College. He earned his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Wayne State College and a master's in Public Administration from Bellevue University.

Throughout his career, Nick has focused on building strong relationships and supporting client success, whether in the nonprofit world or in higher education. Nick is excited to lead as WITCC SBDC Regional Director and looks forward to helping entrepreneurs and small business owners across Northwest Iowa grow, connect, and thrive. When he's not working, you'll find him spending time with his wife and two children or cheering on his favorite football team during fall Saturdays.
