Jefferson County Emergency Management and Jefferson County Public Health Press release update for April 1st *At this time, there are no lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County. As with all communicable disease reporting, test results are reported to the individual’s county of residence. *Local partners continue to participate in webinars provided by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Webinars are offered 2-3 times per week for specific direct care organizations. *Facilities are working daily to meet hands-on care needs, while following new protocols set forth by their governing authority; Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Inspections and Appeals(DIA) * Long Term Care and Assisted Living Centers in Fairfield, continue to work diligently to ensure staff and resident health. Please be understanding of changes that have been implemented. Please know that changes may be made frequently, in order to protect our most vulnerable population. * IDPH Long Term Care Guidance is available at the following link: https://idph.iowa.gov/Emerging-Health-Issues/Novel-Coronavirus/Long-Term-Care * Long Term Care and Assisted Living Centers are partners with the Jefferson County Emergency Preparedness Coalition. The coalition meets on a monthly basis to prepare for and to identify mitigation emergency situations.
