Amrita Aromatherapy Brings Global Expertise to Fairfield

A Fairfield business with nearly four decades of experience took center stage in the latest Chamber Talk. Therese Gilrain of Amrita Aromatherapy joined Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mindy McAdams and Fairfield Media Center Director Jason Strong to share how the company brings essential oils and aromatherapy products to customers from its longtime Fairfield home.

During the conversation, Gilrain explains how Amrita sources essential oils from regions where each plant grows best. The company imports oils that have already been distilled by experienced growers, then evaluates them in Fairfield using specialized testing equipment. This process helps Amrita verify authenticity and understand the natural differences between batches.

The episode also explores how Amrita makes aromatherapy more approachable through diluted roll-ons, skincare products, diffusers and other ready-to-use options. The Fairfield team includes approximately 15 employees, and its research and development department is working on a certified organic skincare line.
