Jefferson County Cattlemen’s Association Rallies Support for Charity Steer Show at Iowa State Fair

The Jefferson County Cattlemen’s Association is proudly rallying behind local youth and a great cause as we head into the 2025 Iowa State Fair season.
Hailey Pedrick, a passionate advocate for agriculture and member of the Iowa Cattlemen's Association District 20, will be representing our district at the Iowa Governor’s Charity Steer Show (GCSS)—a highlight event of the State Fair and one of the nation’s most recognized charitable traditions. She’ll be joined in the ring by celebrity showman Doc Hoy of Richland, Iowa.
Now in its 41st year, the GCSS is a collaborative event hosted by the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and the Iowa Beef Industry Council. Since its inception, the show has raised over $5.1 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Iowa, helping provide essential housing and support for families with children undergoing medical treatment.
This year, Hailey is seeking community support to make an even greater impact. T-shirts and hats are available for purchase, with all proceeds going directly to RMHC of Iowa in support of her fundraising efforts.
