Teacher Appreciation Day

To show our support and appreciation to area educators, the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce with presenting sponsor MidWestOne Bank is excited to host our Annual Teacher Appreciation event on Wednesday, September 18th from 4:00PM to 5:30PM at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. This year, we are inviting all teachers from: Fairfield Community Schools, Maharishi School, Pekin Schools, Van Buren County Schools, Singing Cedars, and Cardinal Schools.

National studies suggest that the average teacher spends in excess of $600 per year of their own money in their classroom. This event is aimed at helping teachers stock their classrooms with the supplies they need and not have to break their own bank.  Let’s show our support for the educators of our children, the people who build the cornerstones of our community.

We invite area teachers to come out and enjoy the evening with us. Grab some appetizers and a glass of cider, stock up on classroom supplies, mingle with other teachers from the area, and relax a bit. Childcare is also provided.  And best of all, it’s all free for being an amazing educator in our community. Because let’s face it, they DESERVE it!

The Teacher Appreciation Event is open to all educators in the Fairfield area, as well as community members who wish to show their support. Admission is free, but registration is encouraged to ensure adequate arrangements.

Teachers deserve our love and appreciation for all they do for our children. We want to eliminate the stress and burden of stocking their room so the teachers can focus on what’s important, our children.
