Are You Eating Enough to Support the Body You Live In?

Let’s bust one of the biggest myths in wellness:

“You just need a little protein with each meal.”

That advice is outdated—and if you’ve been following it, it might explain why energy, focus, or recovery hasn’t been where you’d like it to be.

Protein Isn’t Just for Muscles

While many people associate protein with fitness and muscle-building, it actually plays a foundational role in almost every system of the body. Protein is needed to build:

  • Bones
  • Skin
  • Enzymes
  • Hormones
  • Neurotransmitters (which affect your mood and mental clarity)

It’s the raw material your body uses to repair, restore, and thrive.

But Are You Getting Enough?

Most women only get 60–80g of protein per day—enough to survive, but not enough to feel their best.

🔬 What Does Current Science Say?

Aim for 0.8g of protein per pound of body weight—or more if you're physically active or over 40.

So, for someone weighing 150 lbs, that’s around 120g of protein a day.

Why so much? Because your body is in a constant state of rebuilding. Every time you move, think, sleep, or manage stress, your body pulls from its reserves. And if you're not consistently giving it what it needs, those reserves get depleted.

So How Do You Get Enough—Without Overwhelm?

Here’s a simple system that makes hitting your protein goals feel achievable:

🍳 Divide & Conquer:

  • 30–40g of protein per meal × 3 meals = 90–120g
  • Add 1–2 snacks with 15–25g = You’re there!

Instead of trying to get it all at once, distribute protein evenly throughout the day to help with satiety, energy, and absorption.

💡 Today’s Focus:

✅ Follow the Divide & Conquer plan—anchor each meal with a solid protein source

✅ Use your Protein Tracker (yes, we’ve got one!) to identify where the gaps are

✅ Reflect: Where’s your biggest challenge—meal planning, timing, or total intake?

✅ Plug in one high-protein recipe from our community guide to make today easier

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be consistent.

Support your body like the valuable asset it is—because you live in it every day.

Let the plan do the heavy lifting.

You’ve got this. 💪
