Celebrating Oakwood Nursery & Flowers! Terri Diers and Terry Klein started Oakwood Nursery in its present location back in 1978. The seeds of this business were sown by Terri’s mother, Irma Hartman, who loved plants, flowers, and trees her whole life. She cultivated that love for growing things with Terri and forty-one years later this company continues to serve the area with a quiet unassuming style. Terry Klein tells us that when they started they didn’t even have a cash register. While staff were out working a job site, customers would come pick up merchandise and leave their money under a rock in one of the sheds. Small town living can’t be beat! Dennis Hammel started working for Oakwood thirty-one years ago and is another reason this business tends to keep their customers year in and year out. Rounding out their staff is Debbie Hahn who works part-time in the spring; their busy season. Pictured here from left to right is Terry Klein, Terri Diers, Dennis Hammel, Debbie Hahn and the Ambassadors.
