Danielle Nicole
“That girl gets down to the nitty gritty.” ~ Koko Taylor
Danielle Nicole Schnebelen began music from the moment she was born. Musical influences from generations on both sides of her parent’s families ensured that a love of playing music would continue to be passed among her and her siblings.
Fans love her for her raw yet controlled vocals and her gutsy lyrics, which act like a sucker punch on the often male-dominated blues scene. Critics love her for her obvious skill, honed to a fine point and often garnering her critical acclaim and national awards.
Nicole’s distinctive, inventive bass work—which resulted in her not only becoming the first woman to ever be nominated in the category of Instrumentalist – Bass in The Blues Foundation’s 2012 Blues Music Awards, but also the first woman ever to receive the honor—is the product of years of intensive roadwork.
As a founding member of the “Heavy Blues” sibling band Trampled Under Foot, she and her brothers took top honors at the International Blues Challenge in the US, propelling them into Canada, Scandinavia, Europe, UK and was featured on several Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruises. In 2015 Nicole set out on her own with the release of “Wolf Den” recorded in New Orleans with Anders Osborne.
Nicole’s 2017 release of “Cry No More” ushered in not only a heavier sound and style differentiating Nicole’s already broadening voice and writing, but also accrued a slew of accolades including a 2019 Grammy Nomination for Contemporary Blues Album. She has now added 5 Blues Music Awards and 3 Independent Blue Music Awards to her trophy case.
6:00 PM – Doors Open with Sweet N Saucy BBQ
7:00 PM – Matt Woods
8:00 PM – Danielle Nicole Band
Matt Woods
Matt Woods is both a native of Iowa, and a longstanding purveyor of its diverse music scene. As a seasoned performer of many local, regional and national venues, Matt has developed a distinct style while staying true to his love of traditional American music. Woods is well versed in the many shapes this music can take; from traditional delta, hill country and urban electric blues, to gospel, country and folk music.

Our Market at a Glance
First organized in 1975, we have become SE Iowa’s most well known farmer’s market. Customers are always pleased, and vendors can’t wait to bring their goods to such a vibrant community of buyers.
The market is intended to provide an opportunity for individuals to sell approved items, which are produced or manufactured by them in their garden, farm or home. Vendors may sell only those products that are approved items and that are grown or made by them.
We are organized as a 501c3 non-profit and manged by a Market Advisory Board. We have expanded to accept vendors from all surounded counties, plus three more counties.
Friendly Local Merchants
All of our vendors are friendly and helpful.
Feel free to talk with them when you visit our market.

GROUP RULES:
Check in:
-Name and pronouns
-What emotions are you feeling right now?
Check out:
-What emotions are you feeling after everyone has shared?
-What needs were met by the meeting? What needs were NOT met by the meeting?
-How can this group meet your needs more effectively?
Purpose: This is a safe space to discuss our mental health, caring for our mental health, and challenges in caring for our mental health.
Meeting Agreements:
• We take turns sharing one at a time, passing the Speaking Stick clockwise. Only the person with the Speaking Stick may speak.
• Sharing in good faith is required (good-faith sharing is honest, values everyone’s needs, and respects differences and disagreements). We prohibit bigotry and/or discrimination based upon demographics including: race, ethnicity, birthplace, religion, spirituality, anatomy, disability, gender, sexual orientation, class, legal status, politics, etc.
• We use “I statements” to share our point of view while recognizing different views. Examples:
“I believe this happened,”
“I remember her saying this,”
“It seems to me that he was doing this,” etc.
• After sharing, you may ask others for feedback. If you do not want feedback, no one may provide feedback. After feedback is given, the Speaking Stick is passed to the next person waiting to share.
• The facilitator may need to ask someone to wrap up their share or feedback so everyone waiting to share will have time to share.
• We respect people's choices surrounding medication and diagnosis. We value self-determination and mutual support.
• While everyone has the right to refuse feedback, this group is also a safe space to call each other in — asking questions in good faith and sharing information to help meet everyone’s needs. We are all always learning.
• We respect the confidentiality of those here. Who you see here, what you hear here, let it stay here.
• This group is peer-led. It is NOT an alternative to professional mental health care. It is NOT designed to provide emergency services.
Note: These agreements borrow from the Wildfire/Mad Tea House Open Share meeting agreements. These agreements were adapted for this group by Dee Bosold.
