Outdoor Market:

Our Market at a Glance
First organized in 1975, we have become SE Iowa’s most well known farmer’s market. Customers are always pleased, and vendors can’t wait to bring their goods to such a vibrant community of buyers.
The market is intended to provide an opportunity for individuals to sell approved items, which are produced or manufactured by them in their garden, farm or home. Vendors may sell only those products that are approved items and that are grown or made by them.
We are organized as a 501c3 non-profit and manged by a Market Advisory Board. We have expanded to accept vendors from all surounded counties, plus three more counties.
Friendly Local Merchants
All of our vendors are friendly and helpful.
Feel free to talk with them when you visit our market.
Join us in this happy event every week.

GROUP RULES:
Check in:
-Name and pronouns
-What emotions are you feeling right now?
Check out:
-What emotions are you feeling after everyone has shared?
-What needs were met by the meeting? What needs were NOT met by the meeting?
-How can this group meet your needs more effectively?
Purpose: This is a safe space to discuss our mental health, caring for our mental health, and challenges in caring for our mental health.
Meeting Agreements:
• We take turns sharing one at a time, passing the Speaking Stick clockwise. Only the person with the Speaking Stick may speak.
• Sharing in good faith is required (good-faith sharing is honest, values everyone’s needs, and respects differences and disagreements). We prohibit bigotry and/or discrimination based upon demographics including: race, ethnicity, birthplace, religion, spirituality, anatomy, disability, gender, sexual orientation, class, legal status, politics, etc.
• We use “I statements” to share our point of view while recognizing different views. Examples:
“I believe this happened,”
“I remember her saying this,”
“It seems to me that he was doing this,” etc.
• After sharing, you may ask others for feedback. If you do not want feedback, no one may provide feedback. After feedback is given, the Speaking Stick is passed to the next person waiting to share.
• The facilitator may need to ask someone to wrap up their share or feedback so everyone waiting to share will have time to share.
• We respect people's choices surrounding medication and diagnosis. We value self-determination and mutual support.
• While everyone has the right to refuse feedback, this group is also a safe space to call each other in — asking questions in good faith and sharing information to help meet everyone’s needs. We are all always learning.
• We respect the confidentiality of those here. Who you see here, what you hear here, let it stay here.
• This group is peer-led. It is NOT an alternative to professional mental health care. It is NOT designed to provide emergency services.
Note: These agreements borrow from the Wildfire/Mad Tea House Open Share meeting agreements. These agreements were adapted for this group by Dee Bosold.

Join DJ every other Sunday for this epic high fantasy D&D campaign.
Old stones up in the mountains hold the stories; a king becoming sick with greed; with wanting of more and more wealth, and a dwarven civilization of gold and diamond. To have such plentiful gold that it was as valuable as timber or stone in its day. Gold was a building material while currency was polished wood mined from tree roots. Something long ago forced the dwarves to abandon Al’Khaz, the city of gold. Its location, all its wealth, and all of its technology, all lost to time. Some say it was stolen away by the sea, some claim it was lifted into the sky to live among the clouds, others theorize that it left for a different plane entirely. As the humble and fabled people of Aegravalon struggles to defend Tregaidaran from the forces of Dourlaran and their terrible plans of land development, our heroes are faced with evidence that maybe Al’Khaz could be found. And if it can be found, maybe there is hope to win this war after all.---

Multi-instrumentalist folk noir duo, Society of Broken Souls, have been leading us down the gravel roads of the heartland since moving to Fairfield in 2006 when they were known as Truckstop Souvenir. Dennis James and Lauryn Shapter keep it real with an ethos that eschews the overly curated versions of life proliferated on social media. Their storytelling style songwriting will have you hanging on every bitter sweet word. Find out why Little Village called them “…quietly epic”.
Doors open at 7:00. Come early for a drink and a bite. Go to fairfieldmuse.org to support live music!

Michal is back! Her standing room only farewell concerts two years ago garnered overwhelming enthusiasm, and now that she's moved back to Fairfield, we fit her into the schedule as soon as we could!
Academically-trained musician and composer, the nomadic Michal Shababo was born in L.A., raised in Cape Town, and started her own family in Israel before coming to Fairfield. She has performed internationally in South Africa, the US, Israel, Thailand and Portugal. The joy she pours through her originals and classic covers is irrestible. Her gutsy, uplifting, heart centered delivery pulls the audience into a love fest. Her album “Breathe It In” (available on all digital platforms) is a modern take on folk-rock music of the late sixties, heavily influenced by the Beatles, among many others. Mastered by Grammy-winning sound engineer Emily Lazar, and featuring some of the best musicians from Israel - including the African Hebrew Gospel Choir, "Breathe It In" contains a message of unity, hope and peace.
Doors open at 7. Come early for a drink and a bite. Please visit fairfieldmuse.org to find out about how you can support live music in Fairfield!

Bold and beautiful jazz compositions from a master!
2 time Editors Pick – Downbeat Magazine
“Nobody writes like this.” – Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune
"This is bold music. Maxwell isn’t afraid to try out new ideas and take chances….that risk-taking pays off—big time.”- Frank Alkyer‚ Downbeat Magazine
“…a composer who’s confident in his artistic vision, and comfortable with the wide array of colors on his instrumental palette.” – Bobby Reed, Downbeat Magazine
We are excited to once again host one of Chicago’s premiere jazz artists, saxophonist Shawn Maxwell! Buckle up as they take you with them on a high energy ride through bebop, rock, hip hop, classical and fusion. A long time Fairfield favorite, they present all original material. Shawn Maxwell's gifts have been lauded by fellow musicians and critics alike as he's become one of the preeminent performers in Chicago jazz. As a composer, recording artist and performer, Shawn has ever endeavored to express his own unique voice. From his debut, Originals (self-released, 2005) to his latest album, Millstream (Jazzline, 2020), he has released nine albums of original compositions. The traditions of jazz form the foundation for Shawn’s music, but he builds on that with material from the music he grew up with – rock, funk, hip hop, R&B, and classical. The result, as Hrayr Attarian wrote in Chicago Jazz Magazine,“is refreshingly distinct yet recognizably Maxwellian”. He’s not intent on following any rules – or on breaking them – but on continually expanding his vocabulary of beauty.
Doors open at 7:00. Come early for a drink and a bite! Check out fairfieldmuse.org to find out how you can support live music in Fairfield!
