JCHC Clinic | Richland Celebrates Five Years of Serving the Community

posted on 8/19/26

Community members gathered in Richland on Tuesday to celebrate an important milestone — the five-year anniversary of JCHC Clinic | Richland.

Several residents who utilize and support the clinic stopped by throughout the celebration to congratulate the team and mark the occasion. JCHC welcomed attendees with lunch and drinks, along with goodie bags, before joining the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce for an anniversary ribbon cutting.

During the ceremony, Curtis Smith, MHA, BSN, RN, Chief Operating Officer of JCHC, reflected on the community partnership that helped bring the clinic to Richland in the first place.

Smith thanked the people of Richland for supporting the clinic throughout its first five years and gave special recognition to the Richland Community Club. Six years ago, members of the club approached JCHC and began a conversation about the community’s need for access to a local clinic. Smith acknowledged that without their initiative and advocacy, the Richland clinic may never have become a reality.

He also spoke about JCHC’s broader mission of meeting patients where they are. Having a clinic located directly in Richland allows JCHC to bring healthcare closer to the people it serves and is an important part of fulfilling that goal.

Smith also recognized the Richland clinic staff, thanking them for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to both their patients and the community.

Tina Main, ARNP, primary provider at the Richland clinic, then shared the personal story of how she became part of the clinic.

Main recalled Thanksgiving 2020, when she knew conversations were underway about potentially opening a JCHC clinic in Richland. Around that same time, she was on her way to JCHC for a COVID test and drove through Richland on her way home.

As she spent the following week in quarantine, Main had plenty of time to think about the possibility. She considered the opportunity, prayed about the decision, and ultimately decided to take a leap of faith and go for it.

Five years later, she said she never could have imagined just how much she would come to love caring for the Richland community.

Main also reflected on the support the clinic team has received, particularly during the anniversary week. Community members stopped by to offer congratulations, and many came out for the ribbon cutting celebration itself — something she said has meant a great deal to the team.

She also recognized the people who work beside her each day, thanking the clinic’s receptionist and nurses for everything they do to keep the clinic running smoothly and make its work possible.

The five-year celebration was not only an opportunity to recognize a milestone for JCHC, but also to celebrate a partnership between a healthcare organization, its dedicated staff, and a community that saw a need and helped make a local clinic a reality.

The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates JCHC Clinic | Richland and its entire team on five years of service and looks forward to many more years of caring for the Richland community.
