Fairfield Women’s Club Celebrates Two Historic Milestones at Business After Hours
The Fairfield Women’s Club welcomed Chamber members and community guests to the McElhinny House for Business After Hours on Friday evening, bringing people together to celebrate two significant milestones: the Women’s Club’s 100th anniversary and the McElhinny House’s 175th anniversary.
A slideshow featuring historic photographs and newspaper clippings offered a look at the stories, people and community involvement that have shaped both the club and the house over the years. Guests also enjoyed drinks, conversation and plenty of treats prepared by Women’s Club members.
With temperatures soaring outside, homemade Yoder’s ice cream served with a full selection of toppings was especially welcome. Members also provided an assortment of baked goods for guests to enjoy.
The evening even included a glimpse of a top-secret LEGO project—but details remain under wraps for now.
The Fairfield Women’s Club also offered its cookbooks for $5 during the event. Only a limited number remain, so anyone interested in purchasing one should contact the club before they are gone.
