Fairfield to Welcome the Holidays at Annual Lighting Ceremony

Fairfield’s square will come to life for the holidays on Friday, November 27, as the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce continues its annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony in Central Park. Families, neighbors and visitors are invited to share an evening of music and community.

The Fairfield High School Choir begins holiday caroling at 5:30 p.m. Following brief remarks and recognition by Executive Director Mendy McAdams, the current Citizens of the Year will turn on the lights around 6 p.m. Arriving for caroling is the best way to enjoy the whole program.

Afterward, Santa will welcome children in the Santa House, with a book for each child donated by AERON Lifestyle Technology. Horse-drawn wagon rides, hot cocoa and cookies add to the evening. All activities are free. Dress warmly for this outdoor celebration.

Thank you to presenting sponsor Everybody’s Whole Foods and all of the community partners supporting the ceremony. See the event listing for the complete sponsor list and details: https://www.fairfieldiowa.com/calendar/holiday_lighting_ceremony/.
