Fairfield Parks & Recreation Announces Fall Activities for All Ages

Fairfield Parks & Recreation is celebrating the season with several fun and festive activities planned for October and November. From a family-friendly hayride to a haunted trail and the annual Turkey Trot, there are opportunities for residents of all ages to get outside and enjoy fall in Fairfield.

Family Fun Hayride – October 22

Families are invited to kick off the festivities with a Family Fun Hayride on Thursday, October 22, from 4–6 p.m. Adult supervision is required, making this a great opportunity for families to enjoy a relaxed autumn outing together.

Additional details, including the hayride location, will be shared by Fairfield Parks & Recreation.

Halloween Spook Ride – October 29

Those looking for a Halloween thrill can head to Waterworks Park on Thursday, October 29, from 6–8 p.m.  for the Halloween Spook Ride.

Participants will take a hayride through a haunted trail, followed by a hot dog after the ride. Admission is  available through a freewill donation. Due to the spooky nature of the trail, the event may not be suitable  for young children.

Turkey Trot – November 21

The fall activities continue with the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 21, at Chautauqua Park Shelter #1.

Participants may choose between a 5K and a one-mile fun run. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with the race starting at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $20.

Those who register by November 13 will receive a T-shirt and be entered into a drawing for a free turkey. Registration is available online or at the Fairfield Parks & Recreation front desk.
