FAA Announces “Firecrackers” People’s Choice Winner as Summer Installation Concludes
The Fairfield Art Association's 17th annual downtown summer art installation "FIRECRACKERS" has concluded and will soon be taken down after the Kiwanis Kids Day on September 18. 12 unique pieces were created by the following ten artists, some doing two: Tom & Shelly Urban, Mike Pech, Suzan Kessel (2), Ezekiel Moore, Chuck & Terri Drobny, Ashley Worley & Fairfield Baptist Church, GG's Signs & Designs with Clear Creek CNC, Victoria Rose, Connie Boyer (2), and Claire Reid.
The winner of the public "VOTE for FAVORITE" goes to Mike Pech for his entry "250 Years & Still Soaring", located on the East side of the Fairfield square, featuring two eagles creatively made from PVC Pipes, strikingly painted and additional materials added.
Mark Hickenbottom from Fairfield's Hickenbottom INC donated the PVC pipes for this years FAA Art Installation. The project is also a fundraiser for the FAA, a non-profit organization celebrating its 60th year.
