Child Evangelism Fellowship Celebrates Chamber Membership with Ribbon Cutting
The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Southeast Iowa with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Several Chamber Ambassadors attended to celebrate the organization’s membership and learn more about its work with children and teens throughout the region.
CEF has served the Fairfield area since the 1980s and reaches communities across a large portion of Southeast Iowa. During the gathering, local director Brad Hendrickson shared an overview of the organization’s programs and the people who make them possible. CEF’s state director also joined the celebration.
One program highlighted during the ribbon cutting was Christian Youth in Action, commonly known as CYIA. Participating teens complete training and demonstrate their readiness to teach younger children. They then help lead 5-Day Clubs, a vacation Bible school-style program offered over five consecutive days.
The program gives teens an opportunity to strengthen their leadership and teaching skills while helping CEF connect with children throughout its service area.
The Chamber congratulates Child Evangelism Fellowship of Southeast Iowa on its membership and looks forward to learning more about its continued work in the community.
