Chamber Talk Introduces Jill Lane and the Future of Main Street Fairfield

posted on 4/13/26

In this episode of Chamber Talk, viewers meet Jill Lane, the first Executive Director of Main Street Fairfield, as she shares an inside look at the organization’s early momentum and vision for downtown revitalization. With Fairfield now a designated Main Street community, new opportunities are opening for local businesses, property owners, and volunteers alike.

One of the biggest highlights is the launch of Main Street Fairfield’s new website and the introduction of the Open for Business Grant, offering up to $25,000 to eligible businesses within the Main Street district. Jill walks through the application process, eligible uses—including inventory, equipment, and marketing—and how selected applicants will receive support to strengthen their submissions at the state level.

Beyond funding, Main Street Fairfield is focused on long-term growth through collaboration and community involvement. With four key committees—design, promotion, economic vitality, and organization—there are multiple ways for residents and business owners to get involved and help shape the future of Fairfield’s downtown.
