Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk, The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, The Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Lions Club and area businesses have all partnered to make this an amazing evening filled with Holiday Cheer! There will be live-action displays in the windows of the following business:
Many shops will be open until at least 9:00pm, as part of the Shop and Be Merry event, to allow you to get your holiday shopping taken care of. There will also be horse drawn carriage rides sponsored by the Lions Club and Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk, caroling by local students, and more. The Lions Club will have their annual Soup Supper at the Senior Center, stop in for dinner and help a great organization. Bring the family to visit Santa in his house on the square from 6:00-8:00pm, and stroll through Central Park to enjoy the decorations. ![]() Shop and Be Merry: The Holidays are just around the corner and Fairfield Downtown Shops are excited to share the warmth of the season with you during this special event. Over the last 15 years, thousands of pounds of food have been collected to benefit The Lords Cupboard through the KMCD/Classic 96 free holiday movie. This year’s feature will be one of the year’s biggest hit, the Disney Classic “Finding Dory”. "Finding Dory" is the follow up to the record breaking “Finding Nemo” and reunites the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way. Parents are encouraged bring a non perishable food item to exchange for a ticket to the show. Santa will arrive at the Orpheum at 9 am to greet children with a treat, there will be a letter writing station for Christmas Letters, a craft area and a silent auction which will benefit The Lord’s Cupboard. The first showing of “Finding Dory” starts at 10, a second show will follow at 12. This will be a great opportunity for some parents to maybe get a little holiday shopping in as this will also coincide with the Shop and Be Merry promotion.
