![]() Come see Jefferson County’s Emergency Food Pantry! The Lord’s Cupboard will be hosting a Business After Hours on Thursday, May 24th from 5:00-7:00 pm. Light appetizers and adult beverages will be served. The Lord’s Cupboard recently moved from its long-time home to its new location at the southeast corner of 4th and Grimes (in the former Sunshine Laundry). Participants are encouraged to bring a canned item to support the Lord’s Cupboard as they prepare for the L.O.A.F. program. The Lord’s Cupboard is located in Fairfield, and serves as Jefferson County's emergency food pantry. Monday through Friday afternoons, they serve low-income families food, paper goods, and other essentials. During the summer months, the L.O.A.F. Program helps feed hungry school-children who depend on free lunches during the school year. Every December, they provide Holiday Meal Boxes for the needy in Jefferson County. They are a private 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, relying on the generosity of the community to continue helping those less fortunate. The Chamber Business After Hours is a free, monthly networking event open to Chamber Members, their guests and the general public. If you are interested in hosting a Business After Hours, please contact the Chamber at 641-472-2111 or by email at Events@FairfieldIowa.com.
