o Join us to learn about making full vibrant flower pots for the front porch that last all summer long and make your own to take home.
o The workshop is Saturday, May 2 from 10:00-11:30 AM at the Jefferson County Extension Office. The workshop is open to and youth. Cost is $25 to attend (if youth are assisting parents in making a flower pot, they do not need to register). Register online at: https://go.iastate.edu/DA0TVW
o Jefferson County 4-H members can register at a discounted cost of $15. We appreciate parents attending with younger 4-H members. It will be no cost for parents to attend with their member, unless they plan to make their own pot to take home; in which case, they need to register themselves also.

The Jefferson County Parkinson’s Support Group is a Community Group that meets once a month with support from JCHC and the Iowa Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA)- “Strength in Optimism. Hope in Progress.” The group meets the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in JCHC Conference Room C. (Use the McCreery Cancer Center entrance.) The purpose of the group is to learn, engage in discussions with others, share experiences, tips, and ideas about living with Parkinson's disease or being a care partner, provide mutual support, and foster a sense of community.
