INFORMATIONWhat: Holiday Lighting Ceremony Where: Fairfield Square When: The Friday following Thanksgiving Time: 5:30 p.m. Holiday lights mean a lot to Fairfield. From the Friday after Thanksgiving on through the holiday season, the Square is awash in decorative lighting and to kick off the illumination and subsequently the holiday season, the Chamber organizes the Holiday Lighting Ceremony each year. Replete with Santa Claus pulled in on a horse-drawn sleigh with a police escort, traveling carolers, wagon rides for the kids and winner announcements for the gingerbread contest, the Holiday Lighting Ceremony is held the Friday after Thanksgiving each year. The Chamber Christmas Committee’s grand annual accomplishment, the Holiday Lighting Ceremony gives one citizen chosen by the Committee who exemplifies the holiday spirit the opportunity to throw the switch on the lights and the season. An evening not to be missed.CommitteePatty Adam – Harper Brush Works Debbi Davis – Davis & Palmer Real Estate Tammy Dunbar – ERA Fairfield Real Estate Josie Hannes – Josie Hannes Design Darin Hayne – Century 21 Hayes - Heartland Suzan Kessel – Fairfield Art Association Melanie Lisk – First National Bank in Fairfield Nancy Morrissey – Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Dillon Murray – Hy-Vee Karen Rubey – Jacob’s Ladder Antique Mall Mark Stimson – Maharishi University of Management Lori Vaughan – TD&T Financial Group Brent Willett – Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce
Caroling, holiday lights, Santa Claus, children's eyes aglow. It's the time of the year when the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will honor a deserving individual during their annual Holiday Lighting Dedication Ceremony on November 27th when Central Park will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland. This holiday celebration which typically draws a large audience to the festively decorated Fairfield Central Park is a must-attend event. Plan to participate in many of the activities happening in Fairfield during this wonderful time of the year. It is a time when memories are made. Fairfield is the Christmas City! INFORMATION:
