Merchants, unite. The Fairfield Merchants Association is a come one, come all group of Fairfield area small business owners who meet monthly to share experiences, address issues and generate ideas. The Merchants, long a staple of the Chamber, provide to each other and to the Chamber regular feedback on the general business climate for small businesses in Fairfield and also serve as an organizational entity in facilitating merchant community-wide promotions from shops open late to seasonal sales to the Gingerbread Children Contest in December. What else?

Shared sponsorship of community events and programs
Identification, organization and promotion of educational programming to support business growth
Participation in the Fairfield Iowa Convention and Visitors Bureau Team Tourism committee

Shop Fairfield Shopping Bag Promotion

Love to shop? Love to save? Shop with the Shop. Fairfield. bag and save!

The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Merchants Association has introduced the Shop Fairfield merchant promotion. The Shop Fairfield canvas shopping bags are for sale at participating businesses. Once a shopper owns a bag, they are able to shop at any participating business each month during the promotion periods. Shoppers using the shopping bag will receive specials at each of the participating Shop Fairfield businesses. Each merchant will present their own unique special for each promotional time-frame.

The Shop. Fairfield. bags may be used any time at any participating merchant during each month's promotion period through 2010.

January 15 & 16, 2010 – Winter Clearance– Find bargains galore as we anticipate warmer times ahead
February 8-13, 2010 – Sweetheart Sales
March 10-17, 2010 – St. Patrick’s Day– Fairfield shops have treasure chests full of ‘gold’ for customers
April 16 & 17, 2010 – Spring Open House– Say goodbye to winter with a sneak peak at new styles, colors and ideas for Spring
May 6-8, 2010 – What an Occasion– No matter the celebration, a great gift giving opportunity for Mother’s Day, graduation, recitals, confirmation, baptism, wedding
May 15, 2010 – Sidewalk Sales at participating Fairfield Shops
June 18 & 19, 2010 – Girls Day Out– Come enjoy small town shopping at its finest and Shop for Dad
July 15-17, 2010 – Lazy Days of Summer
August 12-14, 2010 – Back to School Sales
September 16-18, 2010 – Sidewalk Sales – Fall Open House – Kid’s Day
October 7-9, 2010 – Trick-or-Treat Yourself– Get in the spirit of the autumn season with this haunting occasion
November 11-13, 2010 – Holiday Kick Off
December 2-5, 2010 – Christmas Open House– Celebrate the traditions of the holidays with charming gift & decorating ideas
