Business and Community Leaders Invited to Experience the Iowa National Guard During Special Fairfield Event
The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce invites business owners, educators, elected officials, and community leaders to participate in a unique Business Leader Event hosted by the Iowa National Guard on Friday, August 7, at the Fairfield Armory.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m., attendees will enjoy lunch while learning about the Iowa National Guard's mission, its role within Iowa communities, and the valuable partnership between Guard members and local employers. The afternoon will include Soldier spotlights, military vehicle demonstrations, and opportunities to gain firsthand insight into the training, professionalism, and capabilities of Iowa's Citizen-Soldiers.
At noon, the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony welcoming the Iowa National Guard as a Chamber member. The ceremony will take place outside the Armory near the Iowa Army National Guard sign before the remainder of the program continues.
