Located in the heart of downtown at Briggs and Main Streets, The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center reflects the city’s rich tradition of family, community and pride.
An interesting retreat by day and the jewel of Fairfield by night, this central gathering place is designed to showcase a world of arts and culture — everything from art exhibitions to world-class performances to educational events. The complex includes a theatre, business pavilion, meeting rooms, executive conference suite, art gallery and workshop, informal performance areas, commercial kitchen, administrative support space, a central atrium and an outdoor plaza.
The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is the home of the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, the first building in the United States to be named for the celebrated composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim.
Come experience the intimacy of the Sondheim Center’s 522-seat proscenium theatre, with perfect visibility, acoustics, climate control, and plush seating. Mingle with friends in the atrium during intermission, and enjoy refreshments.
