Fairfield Public Library will soon sponsor a weekly Job Club
for people who are looking for work. Fairfield Kiwanis past president
John Reeves will volunteer as the group's coordinator, sharing more than 30
years experience in the field. Mr. Reeves hopes Fairfield will serve as a model for small
communities recovering from recession.
Job Club meetings provide an opportunity to clarify job
search goals, to network and share information with other job seekers, to
provide group support, and to receive job search training. The Job Club
approach is currently being used in many larger communities, was highlighted in
ABC News Good Morning America, and has been highly effective in past
recessions.
Weekly meetings will be held in Fairfield Public Library's
meeting room. Job Club will begin promptly
at 8:00am and end at 9:30. For information call John Reeves at 472-1342.
