The Christmas Angel is the 2nd ornament in a series that was hand-carved by "Billy Whittle" Greenley in 2001. She is a replica of the Angel sculpture that is displayed in Central Park during the Christmas Season. This ornamnet is 5-1/2" tall on a gold stand. She wears a white irridescent embossed gown, has golden wings and is holding a brush-like evergreen tree. This is a hand painted, dated limited edition, original design ornament. Her cost is $15.00 and may be purchased at the Fairfield Chamber.
Meet Mrs. Claus. She is a handpainted miniature replica of the Mrs. Claus sculpture featured in Central Park during the Christmas season. The ornamnet stands about 4" tall and can be used as an ornament or free standing decoration. Dressed in her traditional red dress and white apron, she holds a green Christmas wreath. Third in a series, she is a signed and dated limited edition hand-carved ornament by "Billy Whittle" Greenley. She may be purchased at the Fairfield Chamber for $15.00.
This angel Christmas card is fashioned after the sculpture displayed in Central Park during the Christmas season. This card is designed by Lynne Marshall. The inside of the card is blank allowing you to write your own Christmas message. Cost for a package of 5 cards and envelopes is $2.00 and may be purchased at the Fairfield Chamber.
Fairfield Christmas sweatshirts are available once again at the Fairfield Chamber. They are available in red, black and dark green in sizes small, medium, large and extra large. Featured picture is the Grandstand in Central Park with lampposts, evergreen trees, snowflakes and Santa and his reindeer flying across the sky. Under the picture is Fairfield, Iowa. Fairfield Iowa/Jefferson County Afghan
This afghan displays historical buildings in Fairfield and in Jefferson
County. The North and West sides of the Fairfield Town Square are
pictured at the bottom of the quilt. Directly above that is a picture of
the Grand Stand which is located in Central Park.
The top left hand corner of the quilt shows the original Carnegie Building which was built in 1893. This building was the first Carnegie Library to be erected west of the Mississippi River. It housed the Fairfield Public Library until May 1996.
The top right hand corner displays Barhydt Chapel which proudly stood on the Parsons College Campus from 1911 to September 5, 2001. The Chapel is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
In the center of the afghan is the outline of the state of Iowa and a picture of the original Jefferson County Courthouse, built in 1891.
The center left picture on the afghan is the Bonnifield Cabin. This cabin was built in 1838 by one of the first settlers in Jefferson County. The cabin was relocated in 1908 to the Water Works Park, where it still stands.
Center right picture is the McElhinny House which was built in 1847. This building is now the home of the Fairfield Women's Club.
